Senior Test Automation Engineer (f/m/x)

As a Senior Test Automation Engineer, you are a key player in one of our main products. You are a strong partner and mentor to the team’s other QA Engineers and our developer community across the EvidentIQ group. You take ownership of the conception, implementation, documentation, and execution of automated tests. Your holistic view of the software development lifecycle allows you to work closely with our architects, developers, and business roles in a cross-functional agile team.

This role offers a unique opportunity to directly impact the success of our products. These products are software solutions for clinical trials that make studies more efficient. This efficiency ultimately gives patients faster access to new and better drugs or treatments

Your responsibilities:

  • Work with stakeholders and the team to analyze requirements.
  • Develop and improve test automation frameworks.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive end-to-end automated tests, covering both backend and frontend components
  • Investigate, debug, analyze, and report failures while working closely with developers.
  • Create, maintain, and manage comprehensive QA documentation.


What we are looking for:

  • Comprehensive experience in developing automated tests
  • Strong background in Quality Assurance (methodologies and standards)
  • Object-oriented coding capabilities (Java is strongly preferred)
  • Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) of automation testing (Cucumber)
  • Extensive experience with Selenide / Selenium WebDriver
  • Working knowledge with automation testing frameworks (e.g. JUnit, TestNG)
  • Working knowledge of API testing (e.g. RestAssured, WireMock, and other libraries supporting API testing)
  • Basic experience and knowledge of performance testing
  • Working knowledge of using environments in AWS
  • Experience with Github
  • Experience with issue-tracking systems (e.g. JIRA)

Nice to have:

  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.

  • ISTQB Agile Technical Tester or Test Automation Engineer Certification
